Lifelong Cape Codders say they don't remember a time with this much snow pack for this long. We are in our eighth week with 2 feet of snow on the ground and not a blade of grass to be seen. Furthermore, the ocean is a chunky mess of frozen sea ice, some pieces of which made national news for resembling mini-icebergs in Wellfleet. Finally though, we've had three days just above the freezing point so the snow is going and the ice is breaking up. Here are some images around Cape Cod from instagrammers. And from my own yard, my ancient 13 year old German Shepherd who would be happy to lie in the snow all year long. While social venues like instagram and shapchat offer a personal invitation from the user, drones bring you up with the seagulls. Regular readers of this blog know I'm a nut for drone photography.
Here is a video shot and edited by Brian Switzer over Woods Hole recently. Thank you for your beautiful work Brian. Enjoy.
