![]() Mortgage rates dipped slightly this week. A 30 year conventional note is 3.375% . Combine these historically low mortgage rates with the bottoming out of home prices, and this is a terrific time to buy. This week real estate agents toured six homes for sale in Harwich, and I included every one of them for your sneak peek. Let's start at 21 Grey Neck Rd, just steps to an ocean beach. ![]() Breezy coastal decor enhances this three bedroom, two bath cottage by the sea. The fireplace is nice for those early season chilly nights. But not today. The sunlight really pours in and warms things up. ![]() The master bedroom has cool blue walls, hardwood floors and a lovely, large window. Talk about maximizing space. Bedrooms number two and three have space for lots of family and friends who will line up to visit you being this close to the beach. This coastal cutie is offered at $589,000. Next up is a condo with marsh, harbor and distant ocean views. Welcome to 636 Route 28 in Harwich Port. ![]() Three levels of living really maximize the expanse in the back of the house. Those slivers of water are a marsh and Allen Harbor is beyond that bridge in the distance. Beyond that, but not well photographed, is the ocean. You can walk to the grocery store from this condo. ![]() The condo complex was built in 1984 but as you can see, the kitchen was recently renovated. An upstairs bath was redone as well. This condo has two bedrooms and three bathrooms and you can be in in time for summer for $349,000. ![]() OK, now we tour a lovely starter home close to schools and the public safety center in Harwich. Come inside 195 Sisson Road. It has two bedrooms and one bathroom, a kitchen open to the living room and hardwood floors, so much in demand now. The windows are new, there is central air conditioning and the interior has been painted. It's $238,000. What are you waiting for? It's time to head toward the lakes region of Harwich. Our next stop is 53 Buttonwood Road, near Long Pond. ![]() This home has gorgeous curb appeal. Can't wait to get inside, can you? ![]() First of all, in these times when so many people close in their porches for year round use, an old-fashioned screened-in porch is such a nice surprise. ![]() There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms in this spacious home of more than 1,700 square feet. The two upstairs bedrooms are enormous. This is one.... ![]() And this is the other. There are two more twin beds on the other side of this same room. This elegant Cape is listed for $424,000. Are you getting tired of looking at houses yet? Hope not, there are two more to go. Let's visit the most affordable home on the tour today. 220 Pleasant Bay Road is offered at $265,000. What a nice touch- to raise the ceiling to visually expand the room but to feature the horizontal beams to keep the room from "floating" away. Smart. ![]() This is one of two bedrooms in the home. It's soothing, isn't it? And you can see on the wall a portion of the ventless air conditioning system that was installed in 2010. Ahhh..... We're almost there. Our final stop is a pristine condo on the south side of Route 28, number 767, unit 8. We'll close out our tour this week with this private back yard, rather rare for a condo of this size. The sun is climbing in the sky. Spring is here and summer is just around the corner.
