Good things do come in small packages and the proof is on display right now on Shank Painter Road in Provincetown. A custom-designed 8' x 6' cedar shack is being raffled off to benefit the Fellowship program at the Fine Arts Work Center. It's a program that sponsors 20 gifted artists to live in Provincetown for seven months. The shack is crafted in cedar and features Anderson windows, a cedar writing desk with cubbies for papers and books and a low-slung wooden table long enough to stretch out for a battery-recharging power nap. Artist Bob Bailey and Peter McMahon of the Cape Cod Modern House Trust helped design the shack which will be raffled off Saturday, October 12th at the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown. Tickets cost $10. Our Cape Cast friends with the Cape Cod Times produced this great video tour. Take it in, buy a ticket for a good cause, and you could be the winner of the crispiest 48 square feet of space on the Cape.
