Update: From the Cape Cod Times. A driver who apparently mistook the accelerator for the brake crashed into the side of a building in an East Harwich Shopping Plaza this afternoon. Harwich Police did not identify the driver who was transported by ambulance from the scene. The accident occurred at about 2:30 p.m. and disrupted business at the plaza for more than one hour as police investigated the mishap and officials checked for structural damage. Though the car destroyed a large window, some damage to the corner of the brick frame was clearly visible as well. The car crashed into an empty storefront, narrowly missing the bustling Szechuan Delight restaurant next door.
